4 month update

So my Ella is now 4 months old. (I forgot to write a 3 month update, so there’s much to write about.) Here’s an update on my little one.

- A week ago, she was weighing 13.8 lbs which puts her in 50% percentile. And was 24.5 inches, which puts her in the 75% percentile. Peds encourage, and would like to see babies doubling their birth weight by 4 months and I think she made it. Her 4 month check up is scheduled to be two weeks from now so we’ll see…

- She’s now eating between 5.5 and 6 ounces of milk still every 3-4 hours. She no longer needs to be burped which is great because feeding time is much quicker.

- She’s mastered rolling over. She first rolled from her tummy to her back when she was 2 months old. And has been rolling over from her back to her tummy for about 3 weeks now. That surprised us because it’s usually done between 5 and 6 months. (Emmy mastered that when she was 5 months.)

- She’s becoming more independent. The first two months, she wanted to be held all the time. But she spends a lot of time now on the floor, bouncer or bumbo seat without complaining. She entertains herself with toys, her hands, her feet…anything she can get into her mouth. She’s also entertained by Emmy. They look at each other and looks like they have silent conversations. lol. It’s really cute to watch.

- She smiles a lot! A lot! Not kidding that she just needs to make eye contact to smile at you. lol. And her smile is awesome. She smiles so big looks like she’s gonna eat you. :) so cute!  She giggles a lot too.

- She’s developing fine motor skills. She now grabs everything in front of her face. I can no longer text while holding her cause she’ll yank the phone or start pressing letters. lol. She loves reaching for our faces too. Always grabs my nose and tries to put it in her mouth. Or she’ll grab Emmy’s hair. Really funny.

- She’s drooling a lot! She goes through almost 5 bibs and 2 onesies a day. Pretty gross. But at least it doesn’t smell bad. haha.

- And finally, she continues to sleep well. She now goes to sleep around 8-8:30 pm. Wakes up at 2 am to eat. Goes right back to sleep. And wakes up every morning between 8 and 9 am.

So that’s a quick update on Ella. Here are some pictures of little skye:
