Last Tuesday I had the glucose test done. yuck, yuck! For those that don’t know, this glucose test measures how well your body tolerates sugar. The test is done to check for gestational diabetes, which occurs during pregnancy. So basically, you have to drink this sugary liquid (nasty) and have your blood drawn in one hour. Thankfully, my midwife gave me the liquid during my previous prenatal appt. I was able to drink the glucose liquid at home 30 minutes before my appt and I did not have to wait 2 hours in her office like I did with Emery.
Everything is fine! My midwife calls me a boring patient…lol…because my pregnancy has been normal. I now weigh 127. I’ve gained 17 pounds so far and I have three months left! Ella is a big girl. Everyone keeps telling me how different my belly is now compared to my belly with Emmy! hmmm….
Here I am about to drink the liquid…
