This is my prayer in the desert
When all that’s within me feels dry
This is my prayer in my hunger and need
My God is the God who provides
This is my prayer in the fire
In weakness, or trial, or pain
There is a faith proved of more worth than gold
So refine me Lord through the flame
I will bring praise
I will bring praise
No weapon formed against shall remain
I will rejoice
I will declare
God is my victory and He is here
This is my prayer in the battle
When triumph is still on it’s way
I am conquerer and co-heir with Christ
So firm on HIs promise I’ll stand
All of my life in every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship
This is my prayer in the harvest
Where favour and providence flow
I know I’m filled to emptied again
The seed I’ve recieved I will sow
I can’t even begin to put into words how much this song has spoken to me. Too personal to say. I just wanted to share the lyrics to this song and say how amazing God is. We’ve been through quiet a few things living here in Cape Coral. And I know, had we not moved here, these things would not have been learned.
It took a while for Michael and I to surrender everything to God. There had been this one thing that we could just not let go. And we finally did. And it feels so great to be able to give everything to Him. Total surrender, total control. It wasn’t easy though. And it’s definitely not easy to bring praise to God when there is hunger, need, trial, pain and dryness.
But He is the reason we sing. He is the reason we worship. And He remains faithful.
